Add and subtract 10 to and from 2 digit numbers
Have fun playing this number challenge game with your child.
Use a 100 square and a counter/Lego figure/block.
Hide the 100 square behind a book and take turns to place the counter on a number (between 11-100). Make sure the person guessing the number cant see the 100 square!
Say the number 10 more and 10 less than your chosen number e.g. The number is 10 more than 34. Can they guess the missing number? If they guess the correct number they score a point. Swap over. The winner is the first person to score 10 points.
To help your child practise their number formation support them to write some additions and subtractions to match the clues given in the game.
e.g. 22 + 10 = 32 85 - 10 = 75 19 - 10 = 9 34 + 10 = 44
