Don't print!! These sheets are just to remind you of the vocabulary to use to develop an understanding of capacity when playing in the paddling pool, water tray or at bath time.
Longest to Shortest
This activity would be easiest with objects, such as sticks, of different lengths rather than having to print out the sheets. Ask your child to find the longest then the shortest. Help and encourage them to order the sticks starting with either the longest or shortest whilst modelling appropriate mathematical language - longer than, shorter than...
Tallest to Shortest
Exactly the same as above but you might choose to use a series of toys (we find our dinosaurs have lots of varying sizes) to order from tallest to shortest and shortest to tallest. Remember to demonstrate and model your thought process if your child is finding it tricky.
