National Smile Month

National Smile Month 2020

National Smile Month is a large campaign to promote good oral practice. It is also the longest-running campaign of this kind. Its aim is to educate, motivate and communicate the numerous positives that come with looking after teeth and overall oral health.


When does National Smile Month take place?

The event usually takes place between the months of May and June. This year, the event will from the 18th May to the following 18th June.


Why does National Smile Month take place?

The oral health foundation provides three key messages in order to help the UK public to improve their oral health and mouth. These messages include; Brushing your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion, to cut down on how much sugary food and drink you consume and how often it is consumed, finally, to visit your dentist more consistently than what they may recommend.
