What a busy first week back! We have celebrated St David's Day, Pancake Day, dressed up as real life superheroes and become different book characters to celebrate World Book Day! It has been so much fun and we hope you enjoy a few snap shots.
Happy St David's Day!

Our welsh rugby supporters!
Colour by adding. We needed to use our skills to help us.
Observing and sketching these beautiful daffodils

We were really pleased with how they turned out.
We loved our pancake races.
It was hard to keep the pancakes on the pan.
We had to balance carefully.
The teachers had a turn. They were very competitive (Miss Rees won!!!!)!
Mrs Small, Mrs Morgan and Mrs Lewis ran a close race which finished in a draw.
We became real life superheroes.
We drew and labelled our friends.
Decorating important symbols.
In need of medical attention.
We followed directions to place the items in the correct squares.
Using arrows we directed the rocket to the spaceman.
Ordering our numbers.
World Book Day!
We loved sharing books with our friends.
We made our own character puppets.
Special book marks to help us remember what page we are on.
Even the teachers dressed up!
We have created a new quiet reading area to enjoy reading books.
We have begun to think about our new topic and what we think pirates look like.
Block play pirate ships.
We had different designs.
We made lots of words.
R1 loved dressing up for St.David's Day and pancake racing! We then got to dress in our Real-Life Superhero clothing and celebrate the end of our topic. We also showed others our favourite book characters for World Book day. Friday, was...well, quite nice really...it was a fairly lovely and normal day.
