We have loved exploring Zog this week and have looked at our own learning in R3. We have all worked extremely hard (just like Zog) and have tried hard to extend our skills. We particularly enjoyed making Zog adventure sliders and pivots putting our new skills into practise.
Creating Zog's golden stars.
Practising our number formation.
We used our cutting skills to follow the lines of the dragon.
Block play dragon caves.
We had to roll the dice, find the correct number star and colour it in.
Decorating paper plates ready for our dragons.
We had to cut out all the pieces.
They looked great!
Digging for stones outside.
Enjoying our new den building set.
We went on a dragon hunt. we all found one!
Zog learned something every day of the week. We thought about things we do everyday.
Exploring 2D shapes.
Cutting and assembling 2D shape dragons.
There were lots of shapes to include.
Creating our scenes for Zog's new adventures.
We explored sliders and pivots to add effect.
It took a lot of concentration!
WOW!!!
Decorating bunting in preparation for our jubilee celebrations.
R1 enjoyed reading about Zog. We created mechanisms that were a little like a pop-up book, using sliders to move characters on a page. The creativity seen was quite remarkable. Zog helped us learn doubles and we found out about halves too. Together we danced a traditional Welsh folk dance, it was something very special. The whole class performed it without Mr Lock giving us any direction. We look forward to our Land Day next week and our Jubilee Celebrations!
