On our theme day at the end of the Survival topic, we turned into Neolithic people - farming, shelter making and cooking around the fire. Even though our feast wasn't fully authentic, we had a great day celebrating all things Stone Age.

SHELTER MAKING

This year, 5S are involved with a project organised by the National Museum for Wales investigating the effect of global warming on spring bulbs. See us planting our crocus and daffodil bulbs, all of which we've adopted, named and made special labels for. Now we just have to care for them and watch them grow. Wish them luck on their way!

BULB PLANTING

Year 5 loved embracing their inner Stone Age person for a truly creative end to our topic! From Drama involving a mammoth stampede to making their very own elder bead bracelets to solving Survival problems to leaf art, we have had a great day!
